The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell to Great South Athletic Conference host Maryville College in Maryville, TN by the score of 5-4. The Lady Lions split the six singles matches but could only muster one of the deciding three doubles matches.

KATIE BUICE, MARY ANN ALEXANDER, and AIMEE GARNER picked up singles victories while the tandem of Alexander and JENNY SHANE accounted for the only doubles point. The Lady Lions move to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The women will return to the court again tomorrow, April 6th as they wrap up the regular season against conference foe Wesleyan College.
