Women's Tennis Eliminated From GSAC Tournament In Semifinals

Six Players Named To GSAC All-Academic Team

The Piedmont College women's tennis team was eliminated from the 2008 GSAC Tournament this afternoon by top-seeded Huntingdon College 5-0.
In the final match of the 2008 season the Piedmont College women's tennis team was eliminated from the Great South Athletic Conference semifinals this afternoon by Huntingdon College 5-0 in Decatur, GA. The fourth-seeded Lady Lions were blanked by the top-seeded Hawks to end their season.

TYLER BALDONADO, MARY ANN ALEXANDER, AIMEE GARNER, JENNIFER GRANLUND, JENNY SHANE and KATIE BUICE were all named to the Great South Athletic Conference's All-Academic Team for carrying at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

PC wraps up the 2008 season with an overall record of 4-10 including a pair of victories in the Great South Athletic Conference.
