Lions Drop Second Straight Match At The Hands Of #2 Emory University 9-0

Piedmont Unable To Avoid Shutout Against National Powerhouse

The PC men's tennis team fell to #2 Emory University by the score of 9-0 this afternoon in Atlanta, GA.

The Piedmont College men's tennis team dropped it's second consecutive match of the season this afternoon as the homestanding Eagles from Emory University handed PC a 9-0 shutout victory on Atlanta, GA. Emory, currently ranked #2 nationally in the ITA standings, blanked the Lions in two of the three doubles matches and did not drop a single set in the individual matches.

The loss moves Piedmont to 0-2 over on the 2008 season. The Lions will travel to Sewanee, TN to take on Sewanee-University of the South on Friday, February 15th beginning at 2:00 CST and Roanoke College on Saturday, February 16th with starting at 9:00 CST.
