Three Lady Lions Reach Double Figures In 62-47 Road Victory Over Agnes Scott

Piedmont Extends Winning Streak To Season-High Seven Games

Nikki Sosebee narrowly missed a double double with 15 points and nine rebounds tonight in PC's GSAC road victory at Agnes Scott in Atlanta, GA.
For the seventh consecutive time the Piedmont College women's basketball team came out on the winning end, tonight at the hands of Great South Athletic Conference host Agnes Scott College by the score of 62-47 in Atlanta, GA. The Lady Lions placed three players in double figures en route to the 15-point victory.

Piedmont moves to 17-3 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The Lady Lions will look to extend their season-high winning streak on Saturday, February 9th as they travel to conference host Huntingdon College on Montgomery, AL at 2:00 CST.

Piedmont never trailed in the contest and opened the game on an 8-0 run in the first five minutes. ASC got within six with five minutes remaining but YETTA BAILEY hit the final six points for PC and took the team into the half with a 27-20 advantage.

The Scotties got within seven at 33-26 with 16 minutes left in regulation but Piedmont pulled away as NIKKI SOSEBEE hit four points in a row followed by three consecutive Bailey points for a comfortable 11-point advantage.

NIKKI SOSEBEE narrowly missed a double double of 15 points and nine rebounds. SHEENA TRIMIAR added 14 points while YETTA BAILEY also reached double figures with 11 points. BETH ADCOCK added five assists and six steals, both team highs.

The Lady Lions forced 22 turnover and converted them into 21 points. PC's bench outscored Agnes Scott 17-7 and recorded 12 second chance points. Piedmont held the rebounding advantage 47-43 including 23 offensive board and connected on 15-20 (75%) from the charity stripe.
