NC Wesleyan tied the game for the final time in the sixth inning but the Lions quickly responded with a single run in the seventh as COREY LINDSEY drove in COLE SPEDALE from third, his second run of the game. In the eighth Piedmont added an insurance run on a MATT DEVITO RBI-double plating Migetz from second base.

SPENCER SHELTON was impressive on the mound going seven innings allowing a single earned run while striking out six. TOM DIMITROFF came on in the eighth and recorded his second consecutive save with a scoreless two innings.
