Sophomore Katie Porter picked up her fifth game winner this evening in the Lady Lions' 4-1 road victory over Agnes Scott.
For the first time since 2004 the Piedmont College women's soccer team picked up a Great South Athletic Conference victory at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA this evening by the score of 4-1. The Lady Lions connected on four unanswered goals in the second half en route to the win.

The Scotties jumped out with a goal within the first minute of regulation to take a 1-0 advantage. The lead would remain until intermission and into the second frame. The Lady Lions responded quickly three minutes into the second frame as senior CHELSEA ANGELICH took a Justin Clay pass and beat the keeper and knotting the score at 1-1.

At the 57th minute KATIE PORTER, who extended her consecutive scoring streak to four matches, posted the eventual game winner off Clay's second assist of the contest. Just one minute later freshman TERESA MAYE notched her fifth goal of the year off a pass from CASEY LOVELADY.

Maye then capped the scoring with an insurance goal at the 82nd minute with the assist being credited to MELISSA HOFFMAN. The Lady Lions outshot the home team 14-3 and held the advantage in corner kicks 8-3. Between the posts Katelyn Induni notched a pair of saves.

The victory moves PC to 7-4 overall and 5-2 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The squad will return to the friendly confines of Walker Field on Saturday, October 11th as they play host to conference member Huntingdon College beginning at 1:00.
