Nikki Cole posted 15 kills and 10 digs, both team highs, in the Lady Lions' 3-0 victory over Brenau University.
The Piedmont College volleyball team rewrote the school's record book this evening by defeating local rival Brenau University in Gainesville, GA by the score of 3-0. The match marked the eighth consecutive victory for the Lady Lions, a new consecutive streak for PC in the NCAA Division-III era.

The previous mark of seven consecutive matches had been accomplished twice since 2002. The current winning streak dates back to September 23rd and includes four victories within the Great South Athletic Conference.

In tonight's non-conference match the Lady Lions took the first set 25-19. After trailing 24-17 in the second frame the netters rallied with nine consecutive points to steal the second frame 26-24. PC sealed the match in the third and final set by the score of 25-18.

NIKKI COLE and KALIN DEMARRAIS led the way offensively with 15 and 13 kills respectively. Cole also led the squad with 10 digs while libero JENNIFER GRANLUND posted nine. TYLER BALDONADO posted 41 assists and four service aces, both match highs.

The Lady Lions, who now stand at 19-4 overall, will resume competition again on Friday, October 10th as they host Maryville College at Cave Arena in a showdown of undefeated conference teams beginning at 6:00.
