For only the second time this season the Piedmont College volleyball team dropped a Great South Athletic Conference match, this afternoon at the hands of host Maryville College in Maryville, TN by the score of 3-0. The straight set loss is only the third of the season for the Lady Lions, who are guaranteed a second seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
The homestanding Scots narrowly edged PC in the first two sets 25-23 and 28-26 before sealing the match in the final frame 25-20. Senior
MEGHANN CLARK led the Lady Lions in kills with 10 while
NIKKI COLE and
KALIN DEMARRAIS chipped in with nine and eight respectively.

TYLER BALDONADO continued her impressive play with 32 assists while libero
JENNIFER GRANLUND added a team best seven digs. The loss drops the Lady Lions to 13-5 in matches on the road or at neutral sites and slides the team to 7-2 in the GSAC.
PC, who now stands at 20-6 overall, will return to the court again on Friday, October 31st as they travel to the Rhodes College Fall Classic in Memphis, TN where they will take on Illinois College at 2:00 CST.
