Contact: Richard Dombrowsky, Sports Information Director

Jorge Pradilla picked up his fourth hat trick of the season in PC's 5-2 victory over Huntingdon.
After jumping out with a pair of first half goals the Piedmont College men's soccer team tacked on three more in the second frame to seal the 5-2 victory over visiting Great South Athletic Conference member Huntingdon College this afternoon at Walker Field. The Lions extend their current winning streak to four matches and pick up their third GSAC victory.

In the seventh minute junior JORGE PRADILLA connected on the first goal of the match off a pass from senior ALAN CREASY. Freshman NICK WEATHERBY posted the second goal for the Lions 21 minutes later unassisted. The Hawks responded with a goal seconds before intermission making the score 2-1.

Five minutes into the second frame Pradilla notched his second goal of the match on a cross from Weatherby. The tandem connected again six minutes later as Weatherby hit a blistering shot from just inside the eighteen with Pradilla being credited the assist.

Pradilla scored his third goal of the match, the fourth time he has earned the hat trick this season, off a pass from JON REINERT at the 65th minute. HC notched a goal six minutes later but could not overcome the three-goal deficit.

The Lions held the edge in shots on goal 12-9 and in corner kicks 7-3. Pradilla's game winner is his fourth of the season while Weatherby picks up his third consecutive game winning assist. Between the posts BRIAN GAID recorded seven saves including an impressive diving stop thwarting a would-be header goal in the second half.

The Lions, who now stand at 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the Great South, will return to action again on Wednesday, October 15th as they travel to in-state rival Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA beginning at 3:00.
