The Piedmont College men's and women's cross country teams played host for the first time this season in the Piedmont College Invitational held in Dillard, GA. The men's team was able to place third out of the four team field while the women did not finish enough runners to qualify for a team result.

For the Lions CHRISTOPHER RICE was the top finisher completing the 8K course in 30:44, good enough for a runner-up individual finish. MICHAEL FIDERO finished in fifth place overall with a time of 31:37 while YVE CHAWLA was close behind in eighth place with an 8K time of 31:56.

On the women's side KRIS PRATT was the top individual finisher in 27th place with a time of 36:08. She was followed by STEFANIE GARRETT who completed the course in 39:26. JILLIAN PRATT and JOANNA MOYE rounded out the field in just over 41 minutes apiece.

The harriers will travel to the 3rd Annual Southern Challenge in Marietta, GA on Saturday, October 13th with the women starting at 10:00 and the men beginning at 11:00.
