After dropping a season-high three consecutive matches the Piedmont College volleyball team rebounded to defeat visiting local rival Oglethorpe University tonight at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center by the score of 3-1. In a back-and-forth first game the Stormy Petrels edged Piedmont 30-27 but the Lions took the final three games 30-25, 30-27, and 30-18 to seal the comeback victory.
The victory moves Piedmont to 11-4 overall. The women will play host to visiting Great South Athletic Conference member Maryville College in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center on Friday, September 28th beginning at 5:00.
The PC offense was outstanding tonight connecting on 49 kills.

KALIN DEMARRAIS all reached the double-figure kill plateau with 10 kills apiece.
KATIE TUCKER chipped in with eight kills while setter
TYLER BALDONADO notched 34 assists and seven kills matching her previous season-high.
Defensively DeMarrais notched a team high 16 digs while libero
JILL SPARGER added 14 digs respectively.
JENNIFER GRANLUND had three service aces while Baldonado and DeMarrais added a pair of services aces each.
