#25 Ranked Emory University Shutouts PC 8-0

Lions No Match For Eagles Offense

Josh Seabrook tallied three shots on goal tonight in the Lions' 3-0 loss to nationally-ranked Emory.
For only the second time the season, the Piedmont College men's soccer team was shutout tonight at the hands of visiting Emory University by the score of 8-0. The Eagles, currently ranked 25th nationally, kept the ball on offense for the majority of the match and cruised to the eight-goal victory.

PC allowed the eventual game-winner just two minutes into the match. Emory tacked on two more goals before intermission to take a 3-0 lead into the second half. The Eagles were able to add five insurance goals before the final horn blew.

Senior Josh Seabrook provided the best scoring opportunities for the Lions with three shots on goal. Goalkeeper Ben Pyle notched five saves in the losing effort.

PC will look to rebound on Saturday, September 20th as they host Great South Athletic Conference foe LaGrange College at Walker Field with kick off slated for 7:30.
