Piedmont Picks Up Conference Road Win At Agnes Scott 66-58

The Piedmont College women's basketball team placed three players in double-figures led by Yetta Bailey's 18 points as the Lady Lions downed host Agnes Scott College 66-58 in the team's final Great South Athletic Conference regular-season game of the season. Teammates Sheena Trimiar and Beth Adcock added 13 points apiece for the Lady Lions who improve to 16-7 overall and 10-2 in conference play.

Despite shooting 52% from the field in the first half, Piedmont held a slim 27-25 advantage at intermission. The host Scotties grabbed a four-point lead just two minutes into the second half before the Lady Lions stretched their lead to double-figures.

Stephanie Rainwater came off the bench to connect on two three-pointers and score nine points while dishing out five assists. Nikki Sosebee deposited eight points while pulling down a team-high nine rebounds.

Piedmont finishes the regular-season with a 16-7 mark and will enter next week's Great South Athletic Conference tournament as the top seed. The GSAC Tournament will be held at LaGrange College February 23-24.
