Women's Basketball Team Records Tournament Split With 82-69 Victory Over Ferrum College

PC Now Stands At 4-1 Overall On Season

Sheena Trimiar was voted to the MU Cross Creek InnKeeper Turkey Shootout All-Tournament team after leading PC to a 82-69 win over Ferrum today with a team-high 15 points.
The Piedmont College women's basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season this afternoon by defeating USA-South Athletic Conference preseason favoriete Ferrum College at the Methodist University Cross Creek/Innkeeper Turkey Shootout by the score of 82-69. The Lady Lions' 82 points marked a season-high as the women moved to 4-1 overall for the season.

Piedmont started slowly and trailed 34-28 at the end of the first half. In the second half PC exploded scoring 54 points on 20-35 (57%) from the field. The Lady Lions outscored their opponents by 19 points and sealed the 13-point victory and the end of regulation.

SHEENA TRIMIAR led three Lady Lions in double-figures with a team-high 15 points. BETH ADCOCK and KAYLA DUNCAN also reached double-figures with 13 and 10 points respectively while Duncan posted a game-high eight rebounds.

For her efforts SHEENA TRIMIAR was named to the All-Tournament Team. Tournament host Methodist University, who defeated Piedmont College yesterday, won their game over Otterbein College by 58-57 to earn the tournament crown with two victories. Otterbein finished the tournament 1-1 while Ferrum departs with an 0-2 tournament record.
