For the second consecutive day the Piedmont College women's basketball team notched 68 points and moved to 2-0 on the young season with a neutral site victory Spalding University by the score of 68-55 in Danville, KY. The Lady Lions leave tournament host Centre College with a pair of victories in the Country Hearth Inn/Lee's Famous Recipe Tip-Off Tournament.

NIKKI SOSEBEE led three teammates in double figures with a game-high 13 points, six rebounds, and four steals. YETTA BAILEY chipped in with 11 points and a contest high eight rebounds while SHEENA TRIMIAR added 10 pioints and a game high five steals.

BETH ADCOCK was impressive from the point guard position with a season-high 13 assists and a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe. LISA JENNINGS continued her impressive three-point shooting going 2-5 from behind the tri-fecta. PC was able to shoot 46% from the field including a remarkable 53% in the second half.

The defense was impressive for PC holding Spalding, a first-year NCAA Division-III provisional member, to a mere 21-64 from the field. The Lady Lions forced 28 turnovers and held their opponents to a slim 2-20 from behind the three-point line.

The victory moves Piedmont to a perfect 2-0 on the season. The Lady Lions will return to action again on Tuesday, November 20th as they travel to Emory University to take on the Eagles beginning at 5:00 in Atlanta, GA.
