Three members of the Piedmont College men's cross country team represented their school in the NCAA Division-III cross country regionals held in Williamsburg, VA this morning. CHRISTOPHER RICE, MICHAEL FIDERO, and YVE CHAWLA completed the 8K course laid out by the NCAA on behalf of the Lions.
Rice was Piedmont's top finisher with an 8K finish of 29:51, good enough for 112th place out of the 170 runners in the competition. Fidero was the next Lion to cross the finish line with a meet time of 30:14 to finish in 121st place while Chawla crossed the tape in 146th place with a time of 31:21.
PC did not qualify as team with only the three runners entered in the competition. The NCAA Division-III regional marked the conclusion of the season for the Lions who were able to finish runner-up in the three-team Great South Athletic Conference Championships.
