Women's Soccer Team Completes Regular Season On High Note Defeating Huntingdon 6-2

Offense Explodes In Final match To Claim Fourth Place In The GSAC

Erin Pippin notched an assist and the game-winner this afternoon to power PC past Huntingdon 6-2.
With the upcoming Great South Athletic Conference tournament around the corner, the Piedmont College women's soccer team was able to claim fourth place outright this afternoon at Walker Field with a solid 6-2 victory over GSAC foe Huntingdon College. After Huntingdon jumped out to a one-goal lead the Lady Lions exploded for six goals before HC could respond in the final three minutes of the game.

The victory moves PC to 5-10 overall and 5-7 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The victory pushes the Lady Lions past LaGrange College and means Piedmont will play host to the Panthers on Tuesday, October 30th in GSAC tournament quarterfinal action with the match time still to be determined.

HC scored first at the 10th minute and held the lead for 34 minutes until MACY MACLEAN notched an unassisted goal just one minute before intermission. It was all PC in the second half as the Lady Lions rattled off five consecutive goal in the span on 38 minutes.

ERIN PIPPIN scored on an assist from SARA LINDSLEY at the 58th minute and was quickly followed by CHELSEA ANGELICH as Pippin notched the assist. LAUREN DODD and Missy Hoffman then tacked on unassisted goals at the 74th and 80th minute and senior Jennfier Osborne completed her final regular season match in a PC uniform in style with a goal at the 83rd minute with the assist going to Hoffman.
