For the second time this season the Piedmont College volleyball team shutout Great South Athletic Conference foe Agnes Scott College, this afternoon at the Johnny Mize Center by the score of 3-0. It was a game of offensive runs as Piedmont recorded seven, nine, and 13 consecutive points throughout the match.

The 30-23, 30-14, and 30-10 victory clinches a runner-up finish in the regular season for Piedmont as the team moves to 19-6 overall and 7-2 in the conference. Piedmont will compete in its home finale tomorrow, October 20th against GSAC member Spelman College beginning at 5:00.

SARAH LANE and KALIN DEMARRAIS led the offense notching 12 and 10 kills respectively. TYLER BALDONADO assisted 37 kills while NIKKI COLE and HEATHER STAFFORD combined for 13 kills.

JILL SPARGER and JENNIFER GRANLUND combined for five service aces while Lane chipped in defensively with five total blocks. Piedmont committed only 14 errors in the match while recording 44 kills.
