Women's Soccer Team Snaps Losing Streak With Win Over LaGrange

Piedmont Moves Into Fourth Place In The GSAC

Lauren Dodd posted a pair of goals as the Lady Lions snapped its losing streak tonight at LaGrange 2-0.
After dropping the previous five matches the Piedmont College women's soccer team defeated Great South Athletic Conference host LaGrange College tonight by the score of 5-0. The shutout is the fourth of the season for the Lady Lions, all of which have come in conference action.

The victory moves Piedmont into fourth place in the conference standings. The women currently stand at 4-9 overall and 4-6 in the Great South and will travel to Agnes Scott College on Wednesday, October 24th in Decatur, GA beginning at 4:00.

LAUREN DODD led the offense tonight with a pair of goals. The first and eventual game-winner was unassisted while the insurance goal was off a pass from teammate ERIN PIPPIN.

The defense, led by keeper KAITLYN INDUNI and stopper CASEY LOVELADY, stimied the Panthers offense who could only muster five shots on goal.
