After shutting out its opponents for the first time in the previous match, the Piedmont College men's soccer team was able to hold Great South Athletic Conference host LaGrange College scoreless tonight and walked away with the 3-0 victory. The Lions, currently tied for first place in the GSAC, held the Panthers at bay allowing only a single shot on goal.
Jeremy Stille got the scoring started for PC with the eventual game-winner coming off a pass from fellow forward Jorge Pradilla. The duo connected again, this time with Pradilla getting the goal and the assist going to Stille.
Stille then tacked on an insurance goal with a well-placed unassisted shot. Ben Pyle recorded his second shutout of the season in as many matches.
Piedmont currently stands at 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the Great South. PC will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, October 27th as they host conference foe Huntingdon College at Walker Field starting at 3:00.
