After seeing its five-match winning streak snapped the Piedmont College volleyball team bounced back with a 3-0 victory over local rival Toccoa Falls College on the road in Toccoa, GA. The Lions cruised to the victory winning 30-15, 30-28, and 30-19, the 11th time this season PC has won in straight games.
It was a career night for senior
JILL SPARGER as the senior notched her 1,000th career dig as a member of the Piedmont College volleyball program. Also steping up on the defensive end was fellow senior
SARAH LANE who notched seven total blocks at the net.
Offensively Lane led a pair of teammates with double-figure kill totals with a team high 15.
NIKKI COLE and
KALIN DEMARRAIS added 11 and 10 kills respectively while
TYLER BALDONADO added 43 assists, matching her previous season-high.
The victory moves Piedmont to 17-6 overall. The women will return to the court again on Wednesday, October 17th as they travel to Oglethorpe University to take on the Stormy Petrels beginning at 7:00.
