Piedmont Drops Close Call To Agnes Scott 64-63

In a closely contested game, the Piedmont College women's basketball team fell to Great South Athletic Conference host Agnes Scott 64-63 in Decatur, GA. After trailing by two points at the half, the Lady Lions fell behind by 10 in the second half but rallied late to make it a single possession game.

Leading the way for Piedmont was Nikki Sosebee who earned a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Lane and Beth Adcock chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively. Kayla Duncan also recorded nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Lions shot 35% from the field and 39% from behind the tri-fecta in the defeat. PC was also plagued by turnovers with a season-high 31 and only made 14 of 25 free-throws.

The women stand at 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference. PC will return to action again on Monday, December 5th as they host Toccoa Falls College in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center with tip-off scheduled for 6:00.
