Senior Spotlight: Men's Lacrosse

2026 Men's Lacrosse Senior Spotlight

These six seniors have led the Lions to 40 wins over the past four seasons, including a 23-5 record in USA South play. The group made history as well, setting a new program record with 12 wins in 2023 before setting it again with 14 wins in 2024. They made a USA South Conference Final appearance in 2024 and have made at least the conference semifinals in all three completed seasons. The group has made multiple appearances on the USA South All-Conference listing as well as the Academic All-Conference Team and the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Trey Tuggle
Trey Tuggle - Senior Spotlight

Tuggle has made 20 appearances and one start as a goalie for the Lions over his three seasons with the team. He has totaled nearly 50 career saves and picked up 10 ground balls. He earned the win in his first career start, coming last season against Brevard where he made three saves. Tuggle made a career-high nine saves in a win last season at Greensboro. Trey plans to graduate with a degree in engineering.

Zach Avila
Zach Avila - Senior Spotlight

Avila has played in 60 games and made 14 starts in four seasons with the Lions. Earlier this season, he eclipsed the 100 career point threshold in a win over Hendrix. He has tallied over 50 goals and over 40 assists in his career. This season, he ranks third on the team in goals and second in assists after ranking fourth on the team in points in 2025. In 2024, Avila assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime at Sewanee, the first in program history over the Tigers. Off the field, Zach was named to the USA South All-Academic Team in 2025. He plans to graduate with a degree in sports communication.

Austin Mecca
Austin Mecca - Senior Spotlight

Mecca has competed for the Lions for three season and has appeared in 13 contests in his career. Austin has totaled three ground balls, with at least one in each season. He was a member of Piedmont’s record-setting 14 win season in 2024, helping the Lions reach the USA South Tournament Final. Earlier this season, Mecca picked up a ground ball in a home win over LaGrange and added a caused turnover the next game, a road win at Oglethorpe. He was a USA South Academic All-Conference member in 2024. Austin plans to graduate with a degree in engineering.

#10 WILL ISLEY | ACWORTH, GA.
Will Isley
Will Isley - Senior Spotlight

Isley has played in 57 games and made 19 starts over four seasons in Demorest. He reached the 100 career point milestone earlier this season, with over 60 goals and nearly 40 assists over his career. Will is a two-time All-USA South honoree and ranked fifth on the team in goals in 2024 and fourth last season. In his breakout 2024 sophomore campaign, Isley was one of three Lions to record at least 15 goals and assists. Off the field, he is a two-time USA South All-Academic Team honoree and was a member of the CSC Academic All-District Team in 2025. Isley plans to graduate with a degree in business and accounting.

Mike Eisele
Mike Eisele - Senior Spotlight

Eisele has played in 36 games and made 25 starts at goalie over four seasons with the Lions. Taking the reigns in the starting role beginning last season, Mike has recorded over 270 career saves and earned nine wins in goal in 2025. Last season, he was named to the All-USA South First Team and earned USA South Defensive Player of the Week honors in March of last season. In his first career start, he made a then career-high 17 saves to help the Lions open the season with a thrilling one goal home win over Berry to retain the Peach Cup. In the classroom, Eisele is a three-time USA South Academic All-Conference member and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team last season. He plans to graduate with a degree in business and accounting.

Brandon Casement
Brandon Casement - Senior Spotlight

Casement has played in 20 games over his four seasons with the Lions. He has totaled 16 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. In his freshman season in 2023, Brandon picked up a career-high four ground balls in a win at Spalding. This season, he tallied a season-best two ground ball pickups in a home win over LaGrange. He helped the team achieve a great amount of success, as a member of the program-record setting 14 win team in 2024. Casement plans to graduate with a degree in forensic science.
