SEASON PREVIEW: Men's Tennis

The Piedmont men's tennis team is set to open its 2026 spring season away this weekend, playing three matches in North Carolina. The Lions are set to compete against Pfeiffer at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. 

  • The Lions enter 2026 coming off a CCS Tournament Final appearance for the third consecutive season.
  • Piedmont was 5-2 in regular season conference play last spring, capped off in the CCS Tournament Semifinals with a dramatic upset over #2 Covenant.
  • Head Coach Matt Williams enters the 2026 season with two CCS Coach of the Year awards from the 2023 and 2024 season.
  • Returner Charles Parnell was honored on the CCS All-Tournament team in the 2025 season.
  • Piedmont looks to replace CCS Man of the Year Yannick Wassmer Navarro as well as CCS Second Team All-Conference awardees Bryce VanOrder and Connor Phelps
