Entering her third season as the assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country teams is Piedmont College alum Jennifer Hinson. During her sophomore season with the PC cross country programs in 2009, Hinson helped guide the men’s team to a Great South Athletic Conference championship.

For the past 15 years, Hinson served as a teacher in the Georgia public school systems. Hinson has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels while receiving the Habersham County School System STAR Teacher Award in 2008. Hinson was also named the Teacher of the Year in 1998 at Banks County Elementary School and again in 2004 at Demorest Elementary School.

Hinson graduated from PC in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and was the recipient of the Mary C. Lane Education Scholarship.

Most recently, Hinson served as the head coach of the Habersham Central High School cross country team from 2005-2007.  Now in her third year at the collegiate level, Hinson will assist head coach Scott Stanley with all aspects of the cross country programs.
