2025 Men's Golf Senior Spotlight

These four seniors have been a part of multiple championship-winning teams and have contributed to teams that made NCAA Tournament appearances and won a conference championship. The group helped the Lions deliver an epic comeback win in the CCS Championship in 2024 and helped the Lions take home the team title at the Greystone Fall Invitational earlier this season.

Ryan Colwell
Ryan Colwell - Senior Spotlight

Ryan Colwell has appeared in 10 tournaments and played 21 rounds over four seasons with the Lions. He has carded 10 rounds in the 70’s in his career including a career-best round of even par 72 at the Greystone Fall Invitational earlier this season. In his freshman season of 2022, he shot four consecutive rounds in the 70’s to end the season, helping propel the Lions to a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Off the course, Colwell earned CCS All-Academic Team honors in 2023. Ryan plans to graduate with a degree in finance.

Connor Lane
Connor Lane - Senior Spotlight

Connor Lane has played in 20 events over his four seasons at Piedmont. He has totaled three par-or-better rounds in his career but has been a consistently solid performer, with 37 total rounds in the 70’s. Lane delivered his best career round in the biggest moment, firing a 2-under 70 in the final round of the 2024 CCS Championship, as the Lions made a final round charge to track down Huntingdon and take the trophy. Connor plans to graduate with a degree in business marketing.

Cam Lucas
Cam Lucas - Senior Spotlight

Cam Lucas has played 14 tournaments and 35 total rounds over four seasons in Demorest. He was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams in his first two seasons before contributing to the 2024 CCS Championship team last year. Lucas played his best golf at the Greystone Fall Invitational the last two seasons. In 2023, he took home co-individual medalist honors after back-to-back under par rounds. This season, he helped the Lions take home the team title at Greystone with a career-best round of 4-under 68 in the final round. He was solid this past fall, owning a 73.38 scoring average in three events. Cam plans to graduate with a degree in business management.

Kayden White
Kayden White - Senior Spotlight

Kayden White has played in 11 tournaments and 26 total rounds over three seasons at Piedmont after transferring in. White was a member of the 2023 NCAA National Runner-Up team as well as last season’s CCS Championship winning squad. Kayden owns three par-or-better rounds, all coming this season. He shot a career-best round of 2-under 70 in the final round of the Greystone Fall Invitational as Piedmont took home the team title at the event. White also delivered back-to-back solid rounds at Transylvania this fall, good for a tied for 23rd finish. Kayden plans to graduate with a degree in marketing.
