DEMOREST, Georgia – The Piedmont College Department of Athletics has announced its creation of @PiedmontLions Twitter account for promotion of the school's 15 intercollegiate sports.  Fans can get the latest information on PC athletics including releases, stories, in-game updates and announcements.

“Social media is quickly becoming one of the primary means of communication in college athletics.  We have plans to use @PiedmontLions as a bridge between our fans and our athletic teams,” stated Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Lee Glenn.

PC has future plans for in-game promotions for all followers of the athletic department Twitter account.  Fans are also encourage to use the #PCLions hashtag when promoting PC teams. 

In addition to having an interactive platform for all the lastest PC athletics news directly on their phone, Lion fans can also access the newly redsigned page online at: @PiedmontLions Twitter Account.
