Spencer Shelton and
Zac Stein have been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with spots on the 2009 All-South Region Teams. Shelton was named to the ABCA All-South Region third team while Stein was awarded the South Region Rawlings Gold Glove Award.
Spencer Shelton, who was named the 2009 Great South Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, went 5-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 12 starts. The right-hander struck out 73 hitters in 78 innings of work while allowing only 14 extra base hits. In conference play Shelton went a perfect 3-0 with three consecutive complete games allowing one earned run in 27 innings of work.

Zac Stein committed only three errors in 283 chances and threw out a remarkable 23-54 (43%) potential base stealers. In addition to his remarkable defense the junior also led the team with a .370 average and four homeruns.
