Mike Santowski - 2006 Graduate - Baseball (Bio at time of induction)
Mike Santowski was a member of Coach Jim Peeples first team at Piedmont back in 2003. Santowski was one of the most feared offensive players in the NCAA era as he still holds numerous records for a career and single season – despite the fact that he only played three years in the NCAA era, as his freshman campaign was during the transitional period between NAIA and Division III.

He still holds the NCAA era all-time record for slugging percentage, runs batted in, intentional walks, chances, putouts, and double plays turned. He also holds the single season record for runs batted in, intentional walks, doubles, and sacrifice flies.  In addition to those records, Santowski sits in the top-5 all time in over 20 other categories – proving he was a prolific baseball player at Piedmont.

In addition to his impressive playing accolades, Mike has continued to stay involved in Piedmont College as a graduate – serving on the College Alumni Association Board of Directors for the past several years.  In 2015, the members of the Alumni Association Board nominated him to serve as Alumni Trustee, and he is serving in that capacity today.

He has also chaired the Coach Cave Memorial Golf Tournament Committee for several years – an event that helps raise funds for the athletic department and the Coach Cave Scholarship.
