Lindsey Hughes - 2006 Graduate - Women's Tennis (Bio at time of induction)
Lindsey Hughes had an impressive career at Piedmont as she was an All-Conference performer in each of her four seasons. In 2006, Hughes was honored as an NCCAA All-American in both singles and doubles, and was not afraid of facing the opposition’s toughest players – as she played at #1 or #2 singles and doubles each year of her career.
In addition to her efforts on the court – her impact was also felt by her teammates as she was able to serve as a great team leader and motivated others to strive for similar success. She also served as a graduate assistant coach of the tennis team at Piedmont for two years after finishing her undergraduate degree.
In addition to her playing and coaching success at Piedmont, Hughes has continued on a career in athletics as she is currently the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Affairs serving as the eligibility and compliance coordinator for the entire Columbia College athletic department, a NAIA member institution located in South Carolina.
Her work at Columbia also extends off campus as she serves at the conference level as Eligibility Chair of the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
Originally from Loganville, Georgia, Hughes graduated from Piedmont College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadfield Social Science and received her Master of Business Administration in 2008.
